Avete presente i video “non ruberesti mai un’auto… non ruberesti mai una borsetta…” che trovate all’inizio di tanti DVD come messaggi antipirateria? La loro musica è di Melchior Rietveldt, un musicista olandese al quale il brano fu commissionato nel 2006 dall’associazione olandese di lotta alla pirateria audiovisiva BREIN. Ora Rietveldt dice che la sua musica è stata usata abusivamente negli spot antipirateria presenti sui DVD. Secondo Rietveldt, infatti, la licenza d’uso del suo brano ne permetteva lo sfruttamento soltanto in un singolo video antipirateria prodotto per un festival del cinema tenutosi nel 2006, ma da allora l’industria cinematografica ha riutilizzato il brano in decine di milioni di DVD senza pagargli un soldo in diritti d’autore. Si tratterebbe di una distribuzione non autorizzata su vastissima scala, per la quale il musicista reclama da tempo oltre un milione e trecentomila di euro. — Rete Tre - La sigla degli spot antipirateria è piratata, dice l’autore
